Rotary Cutter (loos and works sort of like a pizza cutter)
Metal Yard Stick ( is thinner and more flexible that wood)
Lots and Lots of Pins in a Pin cushion (Pins with big colored heads show up best)
Finder Guard ( vital if you sew by hand)
Tape Measure
Sewing Needles
Fabric - start with fabric cut into squares and or strips, they are easiest for novices to work with.
